What is the fair use policy?
MillenVPN is removing the limit on the number of simultaneous connections as of Monday, November 25, 2024, so that more customers can use the service comfortably.
However, if the VPN is used for applications that are clearly not common (e.g., sharing a single VPN account by an unspecified number of people), there is a possibility that some customers may excessively occupy the shared resources, affecting other customers and the service as a whole.
MillenVPN has a system in place to monitor and limit the use of server resources such as CPU, memory, and data transfer volume, etc. If some customers are using more than their fair share of resources, MillenVPN will implement resource usage limits for their accounts as necessary.
Typically, less than 0.01% of customers use more than their fair share of server resources, and 99.99% of customers' resources are never restricted.
data-transfer volume
The data transfer volume is the total transmission volume of data downloaded or uploaded when a VPN connection is made.
In normal use, which includes 99.99% of customers, virtually unlimited data transfer volume is available.
The following is a rough estimate of the amount of data transfer for which resource limits may be enforced for one account (one contract).
- MillenVPN App/Native/OpenConnect data transfer volume for each: 3 TB/month
What if I exceed the fair use policy?
Please consider using MillenVPN dedicated servers.
MillenVPN dedicated servers are not subject to the fair use policy because they are dedicated to you and not shared with other customers.
