VPN server

A VPN server is a server that accepts VPN connections and relays communications between a user's device and the network. Depending on the VPN method and configuration, it handles authentication of communications, establishing encrypted connections, and transferring communications.

With personal VPN services, users may be able to choose the country or region they want to connect to. The VPN server they connect to can change the IP address recognized by websites, the communication speed, and the latency.

However, the country and region determined from the server's country of installation and IP address do not necessarily coincide.
